Arts for LA is an advocacy organization in LA County that campaigns to maintain public funding for arts and culture, works to increase access to arts education for public school students, and builds public will to support the arts. Creative Core was tasked with redesigning their website and migrating it from its old CRM and CMS to the NationBuilder platform.
We led a thorough discovery process that pinpointed all the functionality requirements of the new site and restructured the website content based on the organization’s goals and audiences. While we tackled frontend design and development, we continuously worked with the client to integrate NationBuilder’s constituent management and outreach features.
The biggest challenge of the new website was surveying and displaying the arts & culture survey results from over 3,000 local candidates. This is a survey that Arts for LA runs every election and all the answers used to be manually entered on the old website. We were tasked with collecting and sharing this data in a more automated process that makes it easy for site visitors and staff alike. The final solution included creating a custom NationBuilder plugin and integrating a third party survey tool.
